The Hydrovac Process

The only available non-mechanical, non-destructive method of digging, hydro excavation uses pressurized water in combination with a vacuum system to quickly and safely expose underground infrastructure such as utility lines, pipes, cables and other structures. During the hydrovac process pressurized water is directed into the earth using a handheld wand to safely loosen and break up soil. The resulting mixture of soil and water is then conveyed by vacuum to a debris tank. The end result is a safe, fast, precise excavation that requires less labor and is easy to restore to the area its original state. Hydro excavation also causes less of an environmental impact than other excavation techniques.
